KAT+MOUSE, Pie, and Shameless Self-Promotion In Action

LadyAce and I were in a Carrows the other night ordering slices of pie and wearing black, hooded, KAT AND MOUSE sweatshirts.

The waitress at the counter looked at us and said, "What's Kat and Mouse?"

I told her.

Her face lit up. "That sounds awesome!" She flipped her order pad to a blank sheet, pulled a pen from her apron, and wrote down the URL.

"Tell me something," she went on. "Is it highly inappropriate content?"

"Yes," LadyAce and I chorused.

The waitress went saucer-eyed. Then an impish grin splashed across her face. "I like it already!"

And that, Dear Readers, is the power of advertising matching sweatshirts.

Revamped the look of the blog.

Tried to keep the theme somewhat similar to the previous incarnation.

Whadda ya think?

ETA: Primarily done to "open up" the blog a bit. The previous theme started to feel a bit cramped. I think this new layout lets things breathe a bit.

I could be completely off-base, though.

Oh well. New look. Voila!

Yep. I Am.

I've come to a conclusion and finally admitted what kind of writer I really am.

It's on the banner at my website.

Yep. I am.

And damn proud to be one.

Hit Send And...: Update

One month since sending off the submission packet to SP#1.

And no response yet.

Yes. I'm feeling antsy.

But that's how things work in this world.

Lots o' waiting.

So now we begin the Agent Query Phase.

I've just sent queries to the first group of agents on my list. I think I'm going to at least give it a week. Then on to Group Two.

There go those stomach butterflies...
