THE KAT AND MOUSE PROJECT: Proofing The Proof

I gotta say: there's a big difference between looking at a PDF layout of a book and actually seeing that sucker bound and holding it in your hands.

The squee side is still screaming: "It's a book! It's a book! It's got our name on it! Kermit ArmFlail!"

The calm professional side is saying: "Go over it with a fine-toothed comb--stop. You're skimming, dammit. Go back and read slower."

I'm finding things that I missed in the first two passes. I must've been skimming.

Thankfully, LadyAce has been diligently going over the proof and making notes of typos, bad formatting, etc. And a fellow writer was kind enough to let me know of other bits she noticed from the serial's pages (thank you, hills!)

LadyAce is halfway through. Then I'll resume my pass.

Between all those eyes, we should pick up what mistakes are left.

As well as ones that snuck in somehow.

(Damn those sneaky mistakes...)

Onward!
